Dr The Hon. Justice Olson DeC. Alleyne

Dr. The Hon. Justice Olson DeC. Alleyne was called to the Barbados Bar in 1982 after obtaining his Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. He managed a diverse practice from that year until 2012 when he was appointed as a High Court Judge. He became one of Her Majesty’s Counsel in 2008.
Dr. Alleyne holds an LL.B (Upper Second Class Hons) and an LL.M from the University of the West Indies, an LL.M in Information Technology & Telecommunications Law (with distinction) from the University of Strathclyde and a Ph.D. from the University of Leicester where he researched the criminalisation of identity theft.
A keen educator, he has tutored at the Barbados Community College, the University of the West Indies and the University of Strathclyde. Justice Alleyne is a member of the International Technology Law Association. He enjoys reading, listening to music and going to the beach.
