Anthony Walcott

Tony Walcott is the recently retired Executive Director of the Barbados Employers’ Confederation (BEC), where he served from May 2009 to September 30, 2017.

During his tenure at the BEC, Tony was a Director of the Caribbean Employers’ Confederation (CEC) and served as its representative on the ILO Governing Body during the 2014-2017 mandate. He also represented the interests of the CEC at meetings of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE).

Additionally, Tony represents the interests of Group I Employers for the Caribbean Region on the ACP-EU Follow-up Committee, which monitors the implementation of the EU-CARIFORUM Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and EPAs generally with ACP countries.

Tony has worked in Senior Managerial positions with multi-national companies which included the Bank of Nova Scotia, Shell Antilles and Guianas Ltd., Neal & Massy Eastern Caribbean Group and CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank based here in Barbados.

Mr. Walcott is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (AICB) and a Corporate Secretary (ACIS); he is also a member of Human Resources Management Association of Barbados (HRMAB).
